The indoor racing season has come to an end, outdoor racing series starts on 1st May and will run on Saturday nights covering both on and off road racing. Happy New Year to all the members and visitors to BMCC, the 2010 membership forms are online and available at all club meetings, remember all racers need BRCA insurance which is cheaper when joining through a club, so dont delay - see General Information page for the latest forms. This years AGM will be at greasley parish hall on Thursday 3rd December from 7pm onwards. We will be holding a one off indoor mini racing event on March 28th 2010, see the club calendar and entry information pages for more details! Winter series is now up and running on saturday nights with a regular showing of Tamiya Mini's, Buggys and Touring Cars so there is something for everyone, the club calendar has been updated to include off-road sunday dates and the Christmas Cracker for its second year. Outdoor Friday night club meetings have now ended, we still have TORC and Off-Road nationals and indoor racing starts on the 26th September. Outdoor club meetings start from Friday 1st May, we will be catering for both on-road and off-road racing this summer. Also, this year a season ticket pass is available entitling any members to race every friday in a single class for a one-off fee of £25 (conditions apply, see race director or a committee member for more details). All summer dates have now been confirmed and added to the club race calendar, starting 5th April. I just wanted to highlight that we now have a good regular turnout of people racing buggys and tamiya mini's on saturday nights, I have updated the saturday series page accordingly. The AGM Minutes for 2008 are now available online, see the following link for details 2008 AGM Minutes I will be at the club race meetings between now and Xmas to collect membership applications, if you are not going to be racing during this period could you please download and print the forms and send them over to me asap to ensure you BRCA insurance is renewed in a timely manner. A prize fund has been provided by autoexposure and PBM Racing for our Xmas offroad special, this includes vouchers for the top three drivers in each final and random prizes throughout the event, we hope to see you all there, see below for booking in details. A single off-road event meeting is to be held at greasley sports hall on Sunday 28th December, this will be a special event with an extra hall being hired for pitting so we are able to put up a larger track than the usual off-road series events which also means we can cater for more racer, 80 drivers, book in by emailing alanwillows@yahoo.co.uk giving your name, class and crystals, £6 members £8 non-members.

Postal applications are preferred, however we will be distributing the forms at the club meetings during December, the cost of joining the club is only £10 and gives big savings on race fee's at any club meetings and helps fund the running of the club. The club Annual General Meeting takes place on the 23rd October at Greasley Barber Sports Hall, this is the members chance to choose who is on the club commitee next year and have their say on all matters related to the running of the club. So please attend if possible, the committee would also welcome some new people to help with the running of the club. Space has been made available for up to four heats of regular touring car racing at the eurocup meeting, all brands of touring cars are eligable and both stock and modified motors are permitted.

The race calendar has been updated to reflect that this meeting is now a joint meeting for Tamiya Drivers and regular touring car racers. Additional dates for Off-Road Club meetings have been added to the race calendar, these are 8/6/08 and 20/7/08. We are holding work days to prepare the track for summer on 19th & 26th April, this including general tidys, astro turfing the grassed area so we can use multi-surface off-road racing, painting and mowing.

All help is greatly appreciated in order to give the track a good fresh look to kickstart the summer!. A new site has been set up covering off-road activitys in the east midlands area, this site currently also includes race reports from the recent BMCC Indoor Off-Road Event, and entry forms for off-road events, see www.me-or.co.uk. The race dates for summer have started to come through, firstly we have confirmation of the Tamiya Eurocup which will take place on 17th August, also we have our dates for the Off-Road regional series which are 2wd on 4th May and 4wd on 15th June, TORC meetings which are 29th June & 21st September, and finally BTCC on the 29th August. All dates have been added to the Club Calendar, club series information and dates are still to be confirmed. The first batch have arrived and will be available for collection on saturday night, everyone who got there memberships in before new year are there, see Andy Wesson to collect yours. Your favourite local model car club will be putting on three amazing indoor off road meetings on the first Sunday of February, March and April 2008 at our indoor venue at greasley. We will only be charging £5 for club members and £6.50 for non members for a whole days off road racing. You can pre book by emailing me at alanwillows@yahoo.co.uk with your Name, class (2wd or 4wd) and crystals. (Maximum 64 drivers only). Tyres will be the now common Schumacher mini pins. Just a quick note to say we will be running a special one off meeting to celebrate the new year, this will be an electric off-road meeting at the Hall Park venue on the 1st January 2008. We are pleased to announce we will be holding a two week special mini-series over xmas, with £100 of raffle prizes, xmas selection boxes and trophys. This will start with a qualifying evening on the 22nd December followed by a finals evening on the 29th Decemeber, all are welcome and just the usual club fee's apply. We are now collecting membership applications for 2008, membership costs to both the club and brca remain unchanged for 2008 (£10 and £22 respectively). The championship results for round 1 of the off-road winter series are now online here. Also the championship results for the current indoor saturday series after round 3 are here. We will be checking membership cards over the next few weeks to ensure the computer archive is upto date, if you are not yet a member please print a copy of the form from the general information section and bring it a long to take advantage of the reduced price membership for the remainder of 2007, if you are a member please ensure you bring your card along to racing. The championship results for the final round have now been added to the emnorc page, broxtowe model car club would like to thank all the clubs and entrants involved for making the series great fun for everyone. The winter race dates for the off-road series have now been confirmed and added to the race calendar, also the indoor carpet meeting on the 14th October has been cancelled. Finally, next week is the first week of the BMCC indoor winter championship series 1, this will run for 8 weeks and the best 5 results count towards the championship, with trophys to be awarded to the top 3 races in each class. A notification to all members that this years Annual General Meeting will be held from 7pm on Wednesday 7th November 2007 at the Queen Adelaide Pub, at Swingate. This is a chance for all members to hear about what has happened during the last year of racing and whats planned for the upcoming year and who will be on the club commitee so we would like to see as many people as possible attend. Firstly, I would like to congratulate those that are the winners of the prize vouchers at todays off-road meeting, the event was a success with numerous new faces turning up to race. We have decided to continue to run off-road through the winter as a 6 meeting series, dates and details are to be confirmed but the proposed dates are available for viewing on our discussion forum (Click here for details) please check and have your say on which dates would suit you! Broxtowe model car club and PBM Racing have joined forces for this Sundays electric off road meeting. There will be cash voucher prizes for the top three in each final for this Sundays meeting, these will be £30 for a 1st place overall, £20 for 2nd and £10 for third for each final.

Get down there this sunday and enjoy a great days racing, £5 entry per car. Don't miss out! The last of the summer outdoor race meetings take place over the next couple of weekends, with the last friday evening meetign tonight (7th) and the last of the summer series sunday meetings next weekend on the (16th). It's not been a great year for summer racing due to the consistantly bad weather through the peak of the season, so I am sure most of you are looking forward to more regular race meetings in the comfort of the sports hall and BMCC look forward to seeing you there on Saturday 15th (the race calendar has been updated with the indoor season dates).

Finally, I would also like to point out that since we are now into September anyone wishing to join the club for the remainder of the year can do so at the reduced rate of £5 this is great news for anyone new to the club or joining us just for the indoor season (See the general information page for more details). The championship results have been updated to include the results for the delayed double round 6/7. They are available online in the EMNORC events section. It has now been confirmed that we will be able to resume using the mains electricity at the Greasley Hall indoor racing venue. This winter we will be running two main classes for touring cars stock & modified, both classes will allow the use of rated brushless systems, we will also be racing off-road buggy's with worn or road tyres. Finally, we will also be running 1:12th circuit (4 cell, unlimited). I have now updated the website to remove the Junction 28 venue as it is now sadly closed for industrial development, the EMNORC page remains online and the final EMNORC round has been moved to A1 Racing Venue at Grantham, I will continue to post this years EMNORC results. We at BMCC hope to continue to support people interested in off-road racing by using the electric offroad track at Hall Park more regularly, more details to follow. Well despite bad weather and coinciding regional meetings we still had a good few racers turn up and although the weather was not great we were able to run 4 heats of qualifying and 2 finals without anyones motors or speedo's frying! I was resident photographer and camera man and have took some photos and video to give people and idea of the track size and facilitys. Please see the website gallery. We will be setting up the offroad racing again on our final scheduled sunday meeting on the Sunday 16th September and hope to see a few more buggy racers turn up. There will be a special race day this sunday at the hall park venue which will see the long awaited return of the electric offroad grass track as well as touring cars. People are welcome to bring along whatever they can and have a go, gates will be opening at 7:30am in order to prepare the track for racing and booking in will start at around 9am and racing around 10am. Race fee's are £5 members and £6 non-members. The championship results for EMNORC Round 8 are now available online in the EMNORC events section. All dates for the winter indoor series have now been added to the on-road race calander, racing will start indoor on Saturday 15th September, running through till April. The venue has also been booked for one sunday a month, more details are to follow with regards to what events will be running on these dates. The pictures from this years Schumacher BTCC race meeting are now online in the gallery section, thanks go out to Dave Watson for helping out and taking pictures during the event. The championship results for EMNORC Round 5 are now online and available. Wednesday night practice is currently suspended due to lack of race directors available to run and low number of attendee's. If there is adequate demand this may be resumed later in the season. The onroad championship results for friday nights have now been updated, see the Summer Series page for the latest championship positions.. The next two weekends we will be hosting two different regional championships at our onroad venue, starting this weekend with our first round of TORC series, and then the Schumacher BTCC the following Sunday. There will be an addition club meeting Sunday 20th May 2007 to give people chance for some additional track time prior to the TORC and BTCC meetings, all drivers are welcome to join us prices are £3.50 for members, £4.50 non-members gates open at 9am with racing starting by 10am. The first friday round results for the outdoor touring car championship are now online on the summer series page, also you can find the race results from round 2 of the summer series / RRCi race on the offroad events page. The final results for the indoor touring car championship are now online on the saturday night page, also you can find the full results for the first round of the off-road club series under the off-road events page, and finally the Championship results for round 2 are now available in the EMNORC section. We are considering holding some electric off-road race meetings on the grass area's at our Hall Park venue this summer, tracks would be marked out and include obstacles / ramps etc, and be timed using our race equipment as usual, please pop over to race chat and express if you would be interested RC Race Chat. The indoor race meeting on the 28th April has been cancelled due to the outdoor race season start. The hall park venue will soon be re-opened for the thrills and spills of touring car racing, an open practice day is being held on Saturday 14th April, with weekday evening racing starting shortly after (Fridays start on the 27th April, and Wednesdays on the 2nd May). We are pleased to announce that Broxtowe Model Car Club will be hosting a round of the BRCA trucks and truggys national championship on 10th June 2007 at the Junction 28 race venue, this has meant some changes to the Off Road race dates for both EMNORC and J28 club meetings please see the calendar for more details. Broxtowe Model Car Club are pleased to announce that a round of the Schumacher BTCC has been secured for the Hall Park venue on the 3rd June 2007. More details and entry form to follow, we look forward to welcoming the BTCC drivers to our track! Unfortunately due to a lack of support the remaining Carpet Burns sunday meetings have been cancelled, the March date will be used to host a club funday and the January / February meetings have been removed from the race calendar, refunds will be given to those who have pre-paid for the remaining meetings.
